Windows 7 – Out Today!

October 22nd marks the official launch of Windows 7. Three flavours of  Windows are available: Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate. All three can be bought as an upgrade (cheaper) or as a stand alone. Both 32-Bit and 64-Bit are available on disk.

As far as online reviews go, Windows 7 looks pretty promising. Performance and security seems better than it’s predecessors.

For my part, I am a Windows Vista Ultimate 64 user. On my i7 machine, everything works pretty well with some minor bugs. For 279,99$, I will thing twice before upgrading.

My second machine, a Macbook Pro, cost me only 40$ to upgrade to Snow Leopard.
