New HSPA Network in Canada – iPhone with Bell and Telus?

Bell and Telus have officially announced that they will have their new HSPA network up and running in November. If we follow the rumour, the iPhone should be available with both carriers around November 4th.
This is some great new for us Canadians, because Rogers has the monopole of GSM network. This will bring some competition to the table and hopefully some better deals for customers.
Other than the iPhone 3Gs, we should see the Nokia E71, HTC Hero, Blackberry Bold 9700 and LG BL40, with Bell and Telus.
Funny thing is that both Bell and Telus publicly announced they will have the iPhone, but Apple never confirmed…

I know awesome! Dunno if i should wait though. My contract is up n January, and apparently, big wave of 4G phones…what to do?!

Till January you will have time to view people’s opinion about their network. I just hope they won’t be oversaturated like AT&T. People in the states have real issues with their network.
This is what I would do:
1) Wait to see what offers Bell and Telus will have.
2) How much will they charge for the data plans… iPhone without a data plan is pretty useless.
3) Call Rogers/Fido and tell them you will quit for a competitor…. Trust me they will come up with crazy retention plans.
As for iPhone 4G, it is possible that Apple might unveil it in June. Rogers just upgraded their network and not too many phones can do the 21Mbps.
As soon as I have any news, I will post it.
